My Story
From years as an inspirational speaker and author, I began my recovery journey while serving as a licensed Chaplain working with individuals experiencing homelessness. As I listened to their stories, I noticed a painful pattern: many remained stuck despite their sincere efforts and participation in numerous programs—including my own. Progress, when it came, was often temporary, with steps forward followed by familiar setbacks into addiction and mental health struggles.Witnessing this was heartbreaking. These individuals genuinely wanted to heal and live well, yet something deeper kept them trapped. Through their vulnerability, I realized I was not equipped to help them reach the core of their suffering. Their lives were far more complex than the tools I had, and I needed specialized training—but had no idea where to find it.
As a Chaplain, I have always believed in the power of prayer. That belief led my husband and me to what felt like an unplanned move to a small island off Vancouver Island, where we began serving the local church and broader community. It was there that my prayer was answered in a remarkable way.Several years earlier, a former Bible College alumnus—Tim Fletcher—had developed a Trauma Recovery Program after decades of work with individuals affected by addiction and mental health challenges, demonstrating a 67% success rate. When the local church sought support for community members, Tim delivered a series of seminars that were recorded and posted online under the heading Complex Trauma.
That is where I found him—decades after we last spoke. I reached out, initially seeking professional training, but Tim wisely encouraged me to go through the program personally first.
That decision marked the beginning of my own healing from complex trauma. Over eight months, I engaged in a structured, evidence-informed program designed to translate recovery tools into daily practice. Within a safe, supportive environment—guided by experienced coaches and alongside others with shared lived experience—I strengthened my self-awareness, increased authenticity, and experienced sustainable, long-term change. Much of what I had unknowingly carried for years was finally revealed, processed, and healed. It was a profound journey—one that forever transformed my personal life and professional calling. Today, I carry both the tools to guide others and the lived understanding of the journey required to bring genuine, lasting hope and healing.

My Credentials
Initially trained as a graphic artist and copywriter, a series of personal traumatic experiences redirected my life and led me back to university with a deeper question: How can I help others navigate their own healing journeys?
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Tyndale University, followed by a Master of Arts in Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care from Trinity Western University. Over the years, I have served as an inspirational speaker and, most recently, as an author of study books exploring the five women in the genealogy of Jesus Christ found in Matthew chapter one. I am a licensed Chaplain through the Christian & Missionary Alliance Pacific District and an active member of the Association of Alliance Chaplains.
I further honed my calling while serving as a chaplain at Samaritan Place, a supportive housing community for individuals experiencing homelessness. It was there that I came to understand chaplaincy as a deeply transformational ministry—one that meets people exactly where they are. At the same time, I recognized the need for specialized training to address the complex trauma I was encountering daily.
After personally completing a trauma recovery program with Tim Fletcher CO. Inc, and later receiving professional training as a Complex Trauma Coach from his excellent program, I experienced profound and lasting healing in my own life. Today, I integrate my education, professional expertise, and lived experience to guide others toward meaningful, sustainable wholeness.
I approach this work with deep compassion and authenticity because I believe:
“Healing is a journey—not the absence of suffering, but the choice to live with purpose, authenticity, and compassion, guided by hope and grace.”
I invite you to step into this transformative path toward lasting, positive change.
